Collecting bullion coins

When I was a teenager, life was a bit different than it is now. It may not seem a long time ago, only fifteen or twenty years in fact, but since we did not have computer games or the internet, or at least such things were not easily available, we had to think of some other ways to spend our free time. And the ways were actually much more creative than they are nowadays. We used to play the guitar or go hiking in the woods. And some of us collected things: gemstones, stamps, figures. I was a collector of bullion coins. This hobby was already quite unusual in those times. If I told you that my father was a collector of coins, it would now sound that strange, but among my friends I was considered a freak. Anyway, I loved my collection and I got in touch with several other freaks, so I did not mind at all. We would often meet in pubs, drink beer and talk for hours about our collections. Sometimes we exchanged a coin or two or boasted of some new coins. Today I still have the albums full of gold bullion, but I"m thinking of selling them. Some of them might be worth a lot of money, especially the Russian and Egyptian coins from previous centuries. It might seem strange, but a lot of time has passed since I was a teenager, and I guess this collection is not so important to me now.
