The woman who wanted to sell gold

We met at a local restaurant at half past six. I arrived a bit late. The woman was sitting at the table, drinking hot chocolate. She was more or less fifty years old, small and thin, quite pretty, with long fair hair and green eyes. She was wearing a pair of dark jeans and a black jacket. I introduced myself and sat on the chair beside her. Then I ordered a cup of coffee. I had been working all day long and felt really exhausted. I asked her to show me the jewellery. The woman was trying to sell gold on an auction website. I had asked her if I could see it before I decide to buy it. When I saw the gold, I was really surprised. There were two old earrings, ornamented with little green gemstones. I guess they were malachites. There was also a thin necklace with some ornaments, but they were not exaggerated in size. I knew immediately that the jewellery did not come from anywhere in Europe. It must have been made somewhere in the east. I asked the woman where she got the gold and she told me something about her grandfather who had brought it from India years before. I was aware that the gold was worth much more than she was asking for. She wanted to sell gold desperately and I did not know what to do. Finally I raised my head, ready to tell her something.
